Non-AG Outfits

Does anyone own any NON-AG outfits (the historical looking ones, not the modern ones)

I'm just curious to know if anyone has purchased handsewn dresses that are replicas of the AG ones. I read the review of Samantha's Birthday dress and I wasn't too impressed by the sound of it.

I just wanted to know if anyone bought a replica and how they felt about the quality and craftmanship?

If this is in the wrong board, I apologize. Please feel free to move it

What a great question. I would love to know too. I have seen several things I liked for Kit that were a lot more affordable than AG. Anyone have any of these?

I'm thinking of buying the Victory Garden Dress for my Molly.  If I do, I'll let you know.

I bought a pair of Molly's pajamas, handsewn, from a doll shop a few years back. IMO they look exactly like the ones you can order from the catalog. I am satisfied w/ the quality of the garment and have not felt it necessary to order the "authentic" version.

Thank you for letting us know did you purchase it off Ebay?

My only concern is that I don't want to buy reproductions of outfits that come with extra accessories (like Samantha's Lawn Party Outfit comes with a croquet set)

The pajamas I purchased were from a doll clothing and accessory shop near my house, called "It's a Betsy". Unfortunately the lady who ran the store, named Betsy of course, has sinced moved and I have not found the new location, if there even is one.
