I bought my two sisters club memberships. They love it! I monitor the accounts as "mom."
The real mom says the girls are on it everyday. They love playing the games, doing the star projects, and messaging other girls.
Each girl was able to earn a free outfit for their doll in about 2 weeks. Since then, it looks like it takes about 2 months to earn 900 or so stars, which is what you need for most of the big ticket items.
The girls love their charm bracelets, but I haven't seen them in person. Also, since we live far away, it gives us something to email and phone call about. My sisters love to call and ask me about star projects and tell me what they did.
Plus, the club comes with a $10 off coupon for each membership, and they run club specials. Membership pays for itself and then some. I highly recommend it!
I have wondered about the club membership for a long time. Thank you for the terrific review. It will be a while before I have a little girl in the right age range.
I have to agree with MissMooMoo. This is definitely worth getting for your girls. My daughter has really enjoyed earning stars, playing games and having her own website to play on. She just got her first club outfit and loves it. She ordered the special that included the club jacket for dolls. What a great deal that was! She also wears the charm bracelet frequently and can't wait to earn more charms. I've liked having it because some of the activities are for mom's & daughter's to do together. It also encourages reading books to earn stars. Another plus in my opinion. All in all you can't go wrong with this.
My daugther is on the club all the time.. I think it was well worth the 20.00 fee. She loves her charm bracelet and cant wait to get to AGP to earn more points.. I think its a great site with lots of fun things for kid.. A+
If you go to the AG website and look under Club Shop you will see everything available to club members. Club members can choose to buy the stuff or if they are patient can earn "stars" and get the stuff for free. My dd loves it too, and she has already earned one outfit and a birthday charm for her bracelet. She is working on stars for another outfit now. We joined in Feb. Also I have gotten two sets of the free girl and doll necklace when I placed orders for other stuff. The club is a blast!

I thought it was you get a certain number of stars/points and could pick any of the American Girl outfits (as in the Historical outfits/AGOT outfits etc)
I wish you could though! I'd sign my daughter up in a heartbeat!
