I know that you girls didn't know that I'm in love with Nellie (hehehe) but I am... I know hard to believe.... I keep the secret soo well. I'm a bit bias with all of Nellie's things so my reviews are always good... hehehe
As for her Spring Party Dress... this was one of my favorite to look at on the website. I finally caved in and grabed it before V-day. I love it. It is made of the same material as Sam's Lawn Party Dress (a thin linen). With all the extra's it is great for the price. The only problem I had with the dress was that it came wrinkled stuffed in a box. Maybe I'm being a bit picky but when I'm paying 20+ for a doll outfit I don't want to have to iron it when it gets home. Neither here nor there. Again, I love the shoes because of the small heal. For some reason this really does it for me in doll wear hehehe. I love the "painted" porcelien heart necklace. I have a few of these types of pieces as actual antiques so it was neat seeing it redone for my doll. Unlike the hair ribbon that comes along with Nellie's Holiday Dress, this ribbon actually has a barrette... which I like so much. When I clip it in her hair it stays in her hair and doesn't stick out at a funny angle.
OOOoooo...I really appreciate this review. I got an AG gift certificate and I wanted to get this outfit. I plan to dress my historicals for the Easter Parade.
I am also bugged by the way the dresses(especially the historical ones) are so wrinkled when you get them! Jeez! I hate ironing so it takes me forever! I have found that the clover mini iron is the only solution to some of the little tiny areas.
