The Middy Dress, Tam, and Boots are my favorite Samantha outfit. Mine is PM circa 1991. The only draw back is the white color, which is not ideal for a kid to play with. I have handwashed it in woolite and did not have trouble with any bleeding. The fabric is a soft white cotton twill, and the black trim is done in different types of ribbon. I love how the dress skirt laces in the back. The boots are cute, and mine fasten with little faux pearls. They have the old round heel.

Having had a PM myself, I think the outfit is wonderful. One of their best.
I only resold it because the seller lied about the condition...... I couldn't handle thinking I was getting one inexcellent condition, and it having no soles, and all balled up...
I recently bought this outfit at the urge of MissMooMoo, but mine came straight from AG and is NOT pm (though the Sam that wears it is...hehehe)
I do really like this outfit. It is a must for Sam's collection and I feel the dress would be incomplete without the boots (You just can't have one without the other).
I give the mattel version an A+

I have the PM outfit for a mattel Samantha. I like it a lot on her, but I don't let her wear it too much because of the boots (which I feel look great with it).
They have the old round heel.
