Felicity's Colonial Tea Set

Well, first off I must say I am quite sad they discontinued Felicity's Chocolate Set, I thought that set was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and hopefully I will be able to get my hands on it soon

Anyhow, here is my review and photos of "Felicity's Colonial Tea Set"

The set is porcelain and brilliant white with gold filligree detail and pink brushed petals motif. It's really very precious and so girly! I absolutely love it! The tea cups do not have handles and the tiny silver spoons are just darling! The silver platter is VERY shiny almost like a mirror and there is an scroll like engraving on it. It was hard to capture that.

I purchased it along with Samantha's party treats and they both go really well together!

My only disappointment is that there isn't something more unique about this tea set than purchasing another tea set that can fit 18" dolls. Which is why I really loved the now retired Chocolate Set!

Overall Rating: A

The set includes all the above pictured (and 3 Cards, not pictured)

Detail of Teapot. I love how round it is!

I hope the photos and review was helpful in your decision to add this to your collection! But it's just fun to look at the photos too

Thanks very much for the review and the great pictures. The china set is lovely but I agree with you, the chocolate set was truly unique and really part of the story (refusal to drink tea, etc.).  Still, I'm just so relieved that AG has brought Felicity back that I can't quibble over some of the choices they made.

Except the new wardrobe. Don't get me started on that. :)

I know what you mean! The lime green Elizabeth dress... ick...

I don't think there were too many lime green dresses back then...

Great review, thanks so much for doing it and especially for the pics.  I happen to like the new china set, although I realize not every one agrees, but I really miss the chocolate set which, as has been said here, came straight out of the stories.  I love the tea dresses, especially the blue, can't stand the lime green.  It seems AG is becoming very hit-and-miss.  I'll be relying on reviews more than ever.
