PM Party Pinafore and Rosebud Circlet

To be honest, I was disappointed when I first got this outfit. The pink stripe fabric is thin and silky like Samantha's Meet Dress, and I was expecting something cotton-like. The pinafore and circlet are made of very delicate materials - frothy is the best word I can think of to describe them. The waistline also looks cheap.

However, the dress is gorgeous on Samantha and the color is phenomenal. I love the little puffed sleeves and cute knit stockings. Her circlet is hard to keep on, so I bobby pin it down. on the sides. This dress is gorgeous with the white patent party shoes that go with her tea dress.

I would also give this outfit a B. It's very cute on Samantha but the pinafore is easily wrinkled. I have a hard time ironing it just right.

I loved the way this outfit looked in the book, but after hearing the reviews of the actual outfit, I'm glad I spent less on a handcrafted look-alike.  The pinafore on mine doesn't wrinkle at all!

I think I will probably purchase a handcrafted dress as well... I hate it when clothes wrinkle easily.

Is the newer version made of the same material? Can anyone verify this?
