This set includes Kit's scooter and a set of trading cards.
This item is oh so cute! I really love it. It is a nice size for the dolls, and the colors are very pretty. It rolls nicely and seems sturdy enough for play.
I do wish the scooter was made of wood. It is really obvious that it is plastic. It really seems cheap if you have it near any of Kit's "real" items. All of the plastic has a wood grain texture. The handle bar and foot board come closer to passing for wood than the crate it's self does .I can only assume it was made of plastic so it would be better for play. I also worry that the chrome look will wear off of the wheels with a little use.
It also really bothers me that they made a place for Grace to ride between Kit's feet. Grace was an adult basset hound. Based on the pictures of Grace in the book, I would not think she would have fit on a scooter with Kit. However, She does look really cut peeking through that window.
Also, I do not remember there ever being a scooter in any of Kit's stories. A red wagon and basket of eggs would have been a better choice for AG to make, in my opinion.
B+ It would have been an A+ if it were made of wood. Bonus points for keeping it affordable.
The photo below was taken with the item on paper with a 1" grid printed on it for size reference. Each square = 1".
I agree and give the set a B rating. I also dislike the fact that it is made wholly of plastic. For me the larger concern is for the "chrome" on the plastic wheels. We have wood floors and th wheels have already begun to show wear from Kit rolling through the house.
